Mould Release Coating

Mould release coating technology has evolved. It has many advantages that surpass mould release agents. Mould fouling and cross-contamination are now things of the past.

Nanomouldrelease

Nanomouldrelease is the product of breakthroughs in nanotechnology. It is a super thin coating only 0.1 to 0.2 microns thick. It firmly adheres itself to substrate surfaces and repels water and oil. It is totally inert and resists corrosion.

Resilience

Its operational temperature of between -50º and 450º C is ideal for almost all types of plastic parts fabrication. With a very slow transmigration rate of about 5 ppm per cycle, this colourless coating does not affect post production printing or bonding.

No Tg Point

This mold release coating has another special feature. Its amorphous, net-like structure does not have a Tg (Glass Transition Temperature) point. At temperatures well above 500º C, it turns into a microscopic non-toxic ash.

No Need for Mould Release Agents

Because of its low surface energy and dry lubricity, Nanomouldrelease replaces the need to use mould release agents. This is excellent for micro moulders.

Decreased Failure Rates

Failure rates are usually reduced  to negligible levels and cosmetic value of parts is noticeably enhanced.

Decreased cycle time

In most cases, cycle time is reduced by between 30% to 40%. Maintenance and cleaning stoppages are also markedly reduced. Productivity is optimised.
